OC high school softball teams go for titles in finals of Alan Dugard Tourney Saturday

Orange County high school softball teams will be competing for a spot in the silver and bronze division finals of the Alan Dugard Tournament Saturday at Bill Barber Park in Irvine.

In the two silver division semifinals, Dana Hills faces Edison at 12:30 p.m. at Deanna Manning Stadium and Santa Margarita meets Mater Dei at 12:30 p.m. on field two.

The winners move on to meet in the silver division championship at 2:45 p.m. at Deanna Manning Stadium. The losing teams drop into the consolation bracket.

In the bronze division, Los Altos faces Tesoro at 8 a.m. in one semifinal with the winner facing the winner of the Irvine vs. San Juan Hills game to be played at 8 a.m. on field two. The bronze championship is at 10:15 a.m. in Deanna Manning Stadium.

In the gold division, Redondo meets La Serna at 5 p.m. in Deanna Manning Stadium and Palos Verdes faces Torrance at 5 p.m. on field two in the semifinals. The winners play at 7:15 p.m. in the stadium for the championship of the top division in the tournament.

Also on Saturday, Woodbridge (2-1 in the tournament) plays two games, the first at 5:15 p.m. vs. Burroughs on field four and the second at 7:30 p.m. against an opponent to be determined.
