A number of Orange County high school boys basketball teams earned high rankings in this week’s CIF polls released on Tuesday.
In Division 1, Santa Margarita is eighth and Mater Dei 10th. Tesoro is third, Orange Lutheran fifth and Capistrano Valley 10th in 2AA.
Pacifica Christian is fourth and Sonora eighth in the 2A division, Orangewood Academy is second and Tustin sixth in 3AA, La Habra is second and Newport Harbor fifth in 3A, St. Margaret’s is fifth Troy sixth and El Toro ninth in 4AA, El Modena is fifth, Santa Ana ninth and Sage Hill 10th in 4A, Irvine is sixth, Estancia eighth and Orange 10th in 5AA and Tarbut V’ Torah is 10th in 5A.
The CIF also announced its open division watch list.
Crean Lutheran, Foothill, JSerra, Mater Dei and Santa Margarita are the Orange County teams on the list, which was listed alphabetically.
There were no OC teams earning a No. 1 ranking this week.
