Crean Lutheran 84, Kennedy 36: The Saints (8-7, 1-0) opened league play with a win Friday night. Kaiden Bailey had 30 points and five assists and Milanas Luksas 12 points to lead Crean Lutheran. The Saints play Redondo Union Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the Take Flight Challenge.

Santa Ana 79, Saddleback 62: Santa Ana (7-8, 2-2) was led by Jack Rivera, who had 31 points. Jaden Carter had 26 points and Ruben Guerrero 16 points for Santa Ana.

Godinez 57, Ocean View 46: The Grizzlies (14-6, 2-0) were led by Adrian Gonzalez, who had 19 points and Lucas Andaluz, who had 15 points.

Foothill 81, Esperanza 50: The Knights (12-6, 2-0) were led by Travis Paleo, who had 16 points, six rebounds and three assists; Isaiah Bernard, who had 13 points, 12 rebounds and two assists; Rocco Gaffoglio, who had 11 points; Zach Stead, who had nine points and Blake Pearson and Mason MacDuff, who had eight points each.

Drew Anderson had 12 rebounds, including six offensive.

Mater Dei 78, JSerra 67: Mater Dei (16-1, 2-0) was led by Brandon Benjamin, who had 17 points and eight rebounds and Brannon Martinsen and Luke Barnett, who had 16 points each. Aidan Fowler had 18 points and Sebastian Rancik 15 points to lead JSerra.
