EMPIRE LEAGUE

Cypress 66, Pacifica 49: The league-leading Centurions (17-5, 5-0) were led by King Birdsong, who had 11 points and made 3 of 3 three-pointers. Michael Wright had 11 points and 12 rebounds, Jonah Kim 11 points and Jackson Houston 10 points.

GARDEN GROVE LEAGUE

Rancho Alamitos 78, Loara 62: Luis Rico scored 26 points, including six in the first half to lead the Vaqueros.

PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE

Irvine 48, Laguna Hills 38: The Vaqueros (12-11, 3-2) won their second straight league game Friday night. Cooper Stearns had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Taewon Kim seven points and Jaesang An six points for Irvine.

Northwood 78, Beckman 68: The Timberwolves (17-6, 4-1) were led by Zaid Yunis, who had 19 points, six rebounds and three assists, Sidd Raj, who had 19 points and TJ Navarro who had 15 points and four rebounds. Ryan Abaye added nine points and 11 assists for Northwood.

Portola 92, University 73: Portola spoiled University’s senior night with a road win. Brady Kim had 36 points and six 3-pointers to lead Portola (6-17, 2-3). Emmett Lo had 14 points. University (7-15, 1-4) was led by Andrew Bogard, who had his third double double of the season. He had 17 points and 10 rebounds (seven offensive). Savion Ruth had 13 points, Christian DeBarge 12 points, Shervin Moarrefian 12 points and Arjun Gupta 10 points for Uni. McKay Nelson had three points, nine rebounds and six blocks.

ORANGE COAST LEAGUE

Calvary Chapel 83, Santa Ana 47: The Eagles were led by Brandon Berry who scored 17 points. Carson Franklin and Ben Devries had 15 points. Jack Rivera scored 16 points to lead Santa Ana.

Costa Mesa 73, St. Margaret’s 66: The Mustangs were led by Josh Galamgam who had 22 points. Christian Dasca added 18 points. Aiden Ogo had 12 points and four rebounds.

SURF LEAGUE

Los Alamitos 82, Huntington Beach 66: The Griffins (19-4, 4-0) were led by Samori Guyness who had 23 points. Wesley Trevino scored 20 points, Dilayehu Wempe 14 points and Liam Gray 13 points.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE

San Juan Hills 58, Trabuco Hills 52: The Stallions (14-8, 2-1) were led by Adam Aziz, who had 19 points. Mason Hodges had 12 points, Nate Brosch 11 points and Jack Tetley 10 points.

CRESTVIEW LEAGUE

Foothill 56, Canyon 43: The Knights (16-7, 3-0) were led by Isaiah Bernard, who had 16 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and one block. Travis Paleo added 11 points. Danny Kennard had 10 points and 10 rebounds, Kai Nixon eight points, six rebounds and four assists and Rocco Gaffoglio five points.

NORTH HILLS LEAGUE

El Dorado 60, Esperanza 52: The Golden Hawks (15-9, 3-0) were led by Salvador with 18 points and Barker with 16 points.

TRINITY LEAGUE

Santa Margarita 67, Servite 43: Santa Margarita (16-7) was led by Dallas Washington, who had 13 points; DeMarco Johnson who had 11 points, three steals and five rebounds and Drew Anderson and Tobias Averill, who had nine points each.

Mater Dei 82, Orange Lutheran 39

Girls basketball

PACIFIC COAST CONFERENCE

Portola 72, University 13: Portola was led by Kalynne Abraham Mendez, who had 20 points and Audrey Shiono who had 11 points. Samar Shan had 10 points and 13 rebounds to lead University.

Canyon 31, El Modena 21: The Comanches were led by Sofi Majidi, who had 12 points. Mariah Streeter had six points and Justine Prajitno five points.
