ORANGE LUTHERAN 9, ST. JOHN BOSCO 4: The Lancers made it 16 wins in a row with the Trinity League victory. Orange Lutheran (25-2, 12-0) was led by Steven Mara who went 2 for 3 with three RBI. Mikey Romero went 3 for 4 Karson Bowen had two RBI. Orange Lutheran meets JSerra in a three-game series next week.
The first game is Monday at 6 p.m. at JSerra.
NORTHWOOD 8, LAGUNA HILLS 1: The TImberwolves defeated Laguna Hills which has been battling for the Pacific Coast League title, in a game at Northwood Friday.
Cal Euper pitched six innings, allowing four hits and striking out four. Adam Harper was 2 for 3 with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored. Ethen Chen was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBI to lead Northwood (5-16).
Mike Lopez was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the Timberwolves.
Laguna Hills (15-6) dropped into third place.
WOODBRIDGE 12, PORTOLA 0: The league-leading Warriors (18-3) got a strong pitching effort from Lucky Ramanathan, who went six innings allowing just one hit and striking out 12 to improve his record to 6-2. Jaden Hoang-Tieu had three hits, two doubles and three RBI for Woodbridge. Jake Amundson had three hits, two RBI and a stolen base, Jack Bunnell had three hits, a double and a stolen base, Connor Tallakson had a hit and two RBI and Dylan Blakey, Nathan Perry and Alejandro Pacheco had a hit and an RBI.
SEGERSTROM 19, KATELLA 2: Adrian Villegas, Nic Landeros-Sosa and Andy Peredo were solid on the mound for the Jaguars. The offense had 23 hits, led by Bryan Cortez who was 4 for 5 with five RBI. Zander Bretza and Ethan Robles each had three hits for the Jaguars (11-13, 4-4).
FULLERTON 7, SONORA 3: The Indians won the last Freeway League game of the season. Nate Norman hit his third home run of the season.
