Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei includes full schedule with OC basketball teams

Nike Extravaganza XXXI will feature a full schedule of basketball games at the Meruelo Athletic Center at Mater Dei on Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24.

Mater Dei’s boys team will have two games and the Monarch girls basketball squad one game, the one girls game in the event.

Crean Lutheran’s boys team, ranked No. 2 in Orange County, is among the OC teams competing along with Orange Lutheran, San Juan Hills, Servite, Los Alamitos, Capo Valley Christian, Foothill and Aliso Niguel.

Friday schedule:

Capo Valley Christian vs. Lakeland, Idaho, 3 p.m.

Orange Lutheran vs. Los Altos, 4:30 p.m.

GIRLS: Mater Dei vs. Bishop Gorman, 6 p.m.

Bishop Gorman vs. Rolling Hills Prep, 7:30 p.m.

Mater Dei vs. St. Mary’s, Ariz., 9 p.m.

Saturday schedule:

Damien vs. San Juan Hills, 9 a.m.

Aliso Niguel vs. Dos Pueblos, 10:30 a.m.

Redondo Union vs. Foothill, noon

Roosevelt vs. St. Augustine, 1:30 p.m.

Servite vs. Los Alamitos, 3 p.m.

St. Bernard vs. Mira Costa, 4:30 p.m.

Oak Hills vs. Corona Centennial, 6 p.m.

Mater Dei vs. Coronado, Nev. 7:30 p.m.

Crean Lutheran vs. Bishop Gorman, 9 p.m.

Tickets for Friday night’s games are $12, all reserved. Cost for Saturday tickets is $20 for all session reserved seats and $12 for open seating. Tickets may be purchased at the gate.
