It’s official and the results are in!
Segerstrom placekicker Natalie Castro was named homecoming queen Friday night at halftime of the Jaguars game against Artesia.
Segerstrom beat Artesia 54-13 to improve its record to 6-1. Castro was scheduled to be the team’s starting placekicker Friday night.
Castro took part in the halftime ceremony dressed in her football uniform.
During the week, she had been encouraged and supported by her Segerstrom teammates and coaches. She and the rest of the students will celebrate homecoming at the annual dance on Saturday.
