WOODBRIDGE 68, CLAREMONT 38: Steve Scoggin’s Warriors opened the season with a victory at the Rumble for Rosecrans Tournament. Ethan Crawford scored 24 points and made six 3-pointers and Stephen Lamp scored 14 points to lead Woodbridge.
SEGERSTROM 51, LA QUINTA 48: The Jaguars opened the Luis Macias Tournament at Santa Ana with a victory. Shawn Murray scored 13 points and had four 3-pointers and Chris Negrete scored 11 points to lead Segerstrom.
JSERRA 52, MONTWOOD 27: The Lions opened the season with a non-league victory in Texas. Sebastian Rancik scored 20 points and Aidan Fowler 14 points to lead JSerra.
LOS ALAMITOS 53, LA HABRA 47: The Griffins started the season with a victory at the Jim Harris Memorial Tournament at Ocean View. Trent Minter scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Griffins. Samori Guyness had 12 points and Rex Komatz, who had 11 points.
Grayson Pebble had 18 points and Jae Anderson 10 points to lead La Habra.
TESORO 67, VALENICA 28: The Titans opened the Jim Harris Memorial Varsity Tournament with a victory Monday night. Carson Brown scored 25 points and Jake Bennett and Nathan Draper six points each to lead Tesoro.
TRABUCO HILLS 74, BREA OLINDA 58: The Mustangs opened the Jim Harris Memorial Varsity Tournament with a victory. Nate Tuttle had 20 points, Matt Mowers had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Lincoln Lantz had six points, five rebounds and five assists and Jordan Nguyen had 11 points and four assists.
EL MODENA 71, CALIFORNIA 66: The Vanguards won their opener at the Luis Macias Varsity Tournament at Santa Ana High School. Drew Rodriguez and Brady Lemnitzer had 18 points each and Jaden Esparza scored 17 points to lead El Modena. Luke Sanchez scored 16 points and made four 3-pointers.
ORANGE 51, BOLSA GRANDE 33: The Panthers won a non-league game in their season opener. Chris Abraham had 19 points and Trimel King 10 points to lead Orange.
AQUINTA 60, NORTHWOOD 38: Northwood could not hold on to a 15-point lead in its season opener at the Rumble for Rosecreans Tourney. Zaid Yunis had 10 points, and Aditya Sheth and Ryan Abaye nine points each lead to lead the Timberwolves.
