A memorial vigil will be held Monday night, Aug. 16, at Irvine Stadium for popular Irvine High School assistant baseball and football coach Casey Dumont, who died Saturday night, according to Vaquero baseball coach Gabriel Cota.
The vigil will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and the public is invited, Cota said.
Dumont, 42, died late Saturday night following sudden cardiac arrest, according to Irvine Principal Monica Colunga. Dumont was a special education instructor at Irvine and coach.
Dumont had been the lead assistant coach on Coach Cota’s varsity baseball team.
