Mater Dei and Katella earn high CIF football rankings; Northwood No. 10 in Division 12

The new CIF football rankings are out.

Mater Dei continues to be ranked No. 2 in Division 1 behind No. 1 St. John Bosco.

Orange Lutheran is ranked fifth and Mission Viejo sixth in Division 1.

Aliso Niguel is second and Garden Grove is ranked fourth in Division 9.

Katella, which meets University Friday night at Uni, is ranked No. 1 in Division 8.

Fountain Valley is ranked third and Santa Ana, which hosts Woodbridge Thursday at Santa Ana Valley, is ranked 10th in Division 8.

Ocean View is ranked fourth in Divison 11.

Northwood is ranked 10th in Division 12.
