After making school history and bringing home the first CIF title in school history, Marina High’s football team, coached by Jeff Turley, fell short in the Southern Regional Saturday night at Westminster.

Marina led early in the game, but La Jolla rallied for a 27-14 victory to advance to the state finals next week. Marina won the CIF Division 11 crown last week.
