Laguna Hills and Crean Lutheran win Division 5 wild card playoff games

LAGUNA HILLS 2, BELLFLOWER 0: Laguna Hills, the number three team out of the Pacific Coast League, notched a wild card win in the CIF Division 5 playoffs Tuesday.

Scotty Kato pitched a complete game, striking out 12 for the Hawks, who move on to face Citrus Hill Thursday at 2 p.m. in the first round. The game will be at Citrus Hill.

CREAN LUTHERAN 1, RIO HONDO PREP 0: The Saints, fourth seeded in the division, won the wild card game Tuesday. Crean Lutheran moves on to the first round Thursday at Century at 3:15 p.m. For a report, please click here.

Westminster will play at Anaheim Wednesday in a CIF Division 6 wild card game.
