La Habra’s boys basketball team improved its record to 8-1 with a 50-31 victory over Capistrano Valley Thursday night in the North Orange County Championships.
Sam Howlin scored 17 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had five blocks and Cam Dashiell had 17 points and 10 steals for the Highlanders.
La Habra plays JSerra in the semifinals Friday night at 6 at Sonora.
Capistrano Valley (3-5) was led by Connor Gleason with 13 points.
