CIF officials announced that there 293 teams will compete in 10 divisions for the CIF Girls Basketball Championships beginning Thursday, Feb. 13.
Open Division pool play games begin on Saturday, Feb. 15. The finals will be Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at Toyota Arena in Ontario, Azusa Pacific University, and Edison High School in Huntington Beach. It’s the first year first year of using current regular season data in determining playoff groupings, CIF officials noted.

There will be eight teams competing in a pool-play format.
Ontario Christian, Etiwanda, Trinity League champion Mater Dei and Sierra Vista are the top seeds.
