Pacifica Christian’s boys basketball team is headed to the CIF finals.
It was the biggest night of the high school boys basketball season as local teams competed in semifinal games trying to reach the CIF finals next week.
—La Canada defeated Crean Lutheran 77-74 in double overtime in front of more than 1,000 fans at Crean Lutheran in the 2A semifinals. (Please click here for the game story)
La Canada moves on to face top-seeded Colony next week. Crean Lutheran won the CIF 3AA title last year.
—Pacifica Christian defeated Quartz Hill 69-54 and moves on to the 4AA finals against Fairmont Prep, which defeated Silverado 55-54. (Please click here to see the game story)
—In the 5AA division, Sage Hill defeated Bassett 61-51 and advances into the finals against Santa Clara.
—In the 3A bracket, Capo Valley Christian defeated Palos Verdes 48-34 to advance to the finals against Palm Springs.
—In Division 1, Santa Margarita defeated Harvard Westlake 50-45 to advance into the finals against top-seeded Chino Hills.
