Irvine High School football standout Tate Zimmerman made it official and signed with University of New Mexico Wednesday to continue his football careeer, according to co-athletic director Gabriel Cota.
Zimmerman was the MVP of the Pacific Hills League and led the Vaqueros to the league title in the fall. Zimmerman will play linebacker for New Mexico.
He will be playing with his brother Kade, who has decided to transfer to New Mexico.
