IRVINE 56, BREA OLINDA 53: The Vaqueros (7-4) captured a non-league victory Friday night. Cooper Stearns had 30 points, Jaesang An 13 points and Daniel Shin seven points to lead Irvine.
CYPRESS 39 CERRITOS 36: The Centurions captured a win Friday night at the Sonora Classic. Jonah Kim had 12 points, Jonas Hanson eight points and Hayden Roberts and Ryan Gov five points each.
The Centurions (4-4) battled back to win the game at Cerritos but had only 19 points at the end of the third quarter.
“We could not put the ball in the basket tonight,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “One of the uglier games we’ve played. Coach (Jonathan) Watanabe does a great job over there. Thankfully, we hit some clutch free throws to hold them off.”
PACIFICA CHRISTIAN 46, SAN CLEMENTE 40: The Tritons earned a win at the Beach Bash Tournament. Parker Strauss led Pacifica Christian with 16 points.
LOARA 68, ANAHEIM 66: The Saxons (4-5) were led by Markus Toscano who had 20 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocked shots and 6-7 junior center Luke Recinto, who had 13 points.
YORBA LINDA 48, CHARTER OAK 24: The Mustangs captured a win at the Gary Raya Classic. Orlando O. Laws led Yorba Linda with 17 points.
SERVITE 60, NORWALK 34: The Friars (6-2) were led by Alex Pak, who had 11 points, Scott Schulz with nine points and Brenden Tom with eight points.
