CREAN LUTHERAN 71, CYPRESS 45: The Crean Lutheran girls basketball team improved its Empire League record to 3-1 Friday night to move into a tie for second place.
Taylor Feldman scored 29 points and had seven assists and seven rebounds, Maddie Snyder had 15 points, four rebounds and made all three 3-pointers, Emily Reed had nine points and three 3-pointers and Maya Bland had eight points and 12 rebounds to lead Crean Lutheran.
“We are on to play Kennedy Tuesday and back at our second chance against Tustin on Friday at the Tillers home court,” said Crean Lutheran co-head coach Bianca Ziemann.
FINAL GIRLS SCORE: Mater Dei 77, Long Beach Poly 24
BECKMAN 62, SONORA 55: Jake Morrison scored 25 points to lead Beckman’s boys basketball team to a non-league victory Saturday. Dowon Kim added 16 points for Beckman (7-4 overall). Sonora (9-9) was led by Daniel Esparza, who sccored 18 points, Garrett Icenhower, who had 14 points and Ian Jones, who scored 12 points.
TROY 52, CALIFORNIA 50: The Warriors (4-7) won a non-league game Saturday. Kyle Pham scored 27 points, Armaan Khan had nine points and Rayaan Khan six points to lead Troy.

VILLA PARK 15, NORTH TORRANCE 3: Ethan Hale (3-1) recorded the win for the Spartans (15-4). Benny Vogel was 3 for 4 with an RBI, Geoff McArthur was 2 for 2 with a double and two RBI. Gavin Grahovac was 1 for 3 with a double and four RBI, Zach Brown was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI and Brady Watson was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI.
