Two weeks of high school football are in the books in Orange County. Now it’s on to what is officially called week two (week zero was the start) with a look at some of the key games.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 5
Tustin at El Dorado: Tustin looking to move out to a 3-0 record after a convincing win over Foothill.
University vs. Los Amigos at Garden Grove: Los Amigos is 2-0 and has outscored its first two opponents 93-7. University is looking for its first win.
Foothill vs. Orange at Fred Kelly Stadium: Both teams are coming off losses last week.
San Jacinto at Yorba Linda
Pacifica vs. Northwood at Irvine Stadium: Northwood is 2-0 while Pacifica 1-1. Pacifica defeated Garden Grove 28-7 Friday night. The Timberwolves, led by Joseph Harper, topped Sonora 28-6.
Bassett at La Quinta
Century at Azusa: Coach Lance Neal’s Centurions are off to a 2-0 start.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 6
Tesoro at La Mirada: The Titans (1-1) will be looking to bounce back from last week’s 42-28 loss to San Marcos. La Mirada opened its new on-campus stadium with a 42-7 loss vs. Western.
Chino at Aliso Niguel
Woodbridge at Irvine, Irvine Stadium: Irvine, led by Brandon “Figgy” Figueroa and Deacon Moss is 1-1. Coach Aaron Craver’s Warriors, 1-1, are coming off a loss to Canyon.
Saddleback at La Sierra: The Roadrunners are looking for their second straight win after snapping the program’s 19-game losing streak.
Capistrano Valley at Huntington Beach
Bishop Gorman vs. Mater Dei at Santa Ana Stadium: The top-ranked team in the nation, Mater Dei (1-0) hosts No. 2 Bishop Gorman.
Westminster at Santa Ana Valley
Mayfair vs. Cypress at Western
Brea Olinda at Diamond Bar
Liberty/Winchester at Crean Lutheran: Coach Rick Curtis’ Saints (2-0) have their first home game against undefeated Liberty.
Santa Ana at Garden Grove: The Saints are 0-2 while Garden Grove is 1-1.
Banning vs. Capistrano Valley Christian at Tesoro: The Eagles (2-0) are coming off two wins, including a 34-17 victory over University. CVC’s last two home games will be at JSerra. Josh Monroe had four touchdowns for the Eagles in the win over the Trojans.

Gahr at Ocean View
Troy at Fullerton
St. Francis Academy vs. Orange Lutheran at Orange Coast College
Dana Hills at Laguna Hills: Laguna Hills is coming off a victory over Santa Ana.
Corona del Mar at Palos Verdes: The Sea Kings (2-0) travel to the South Bay for a 3:30 p.m. game.
El Modena at Newport Harbor
Cerritos at Portola: Coach Peter Abe’s Bulldogs looking for their first win.
Marina vs. Fountain Valley at Westminster
Godinez at Costa Mesa
Beckman vs. Canyon at Fred Kelly Stadium
Valencia vs. Esperanza at Yorba Linda
Western at El Toro: Coach Dan Davidson’s Pioneers (1-1) are coming off a 42-7 victory over La Mirada. It will be their third road game in a row.
Servite at Chaminade: The Friars have started 2-0.
Liberty (Nevada) at Mission Viejo: Mission Viejo, like Crean Lutheran is hosting a team named Liberty. The Diablos opponent is from Nevada.
LB Wilson vs. Sunny Hills at Buena Park
Western Christian vs. Calvary Chapel at Segerstrom
Segerstrom at California: Coach Joseph Tagaloa’s Jaguars out to win their third in a row.
Kennedy at Laguna Beach
Clovis North at JSerra
SATURDAY, SEPT. 7
Upland vs. Villa Park at Fred Kelly Stadium, 10 a.m.
Santiago at Savanna
