Godinez High softball star Savannah Pola signs national letter of intent with UCLA

Godinez High School softball star Savannah Pola signed her national letter of intent with UCLA on Wednesday, according to Athletic Director Lisa Treen.

Pola is expected to play second base and the outfield for the Bruins.

“The Godinez/SAUSD family are extremely proud of Savannah Pola and her signing with UCLA softball,” Treen said. “Congratulations to Savannah, the Pola family and to the Bruin softball program.”  

As a sophomore, Pola, an infielder, helped the Grizzlies capture their first CIF championship in 2019.

Pola, a senior, still has one more year with the Grizzlies. The high school season is scheduled to begin in March 2021.
