Fountain Valley’s football team suffered its first loss of the year, losing to Adelanto on the road 37-26 in a non-league game Friday night.
Barons’ junior quarterback Josh Stupin completed 21 of 44 passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions for 233 yards.
He also had one rushing touchdown.
Matthew Fuiava had four rushes for 57 yards and Brandon Krause had 10 catches for 88 yards.
Kishaun Sykes had six catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Fountain Valley also had two touchdowns called back because of penalties.
Coach Jimmy Nolan’s team, 4-1, is off this week and back in action on Friday, Sept. 28 against Los Alamitos at Huntington Beach High School.
