Former Tustin High football coach Myron Miller, who stepped down after last season as the Tillers coach, has joined Coach Scott Meyer’s staff at Lakewood, Meyer confirmed Wednesday night.
Miller will coach outside linebackers and special teams, said Meyer, the new Lakewood head coach who coached at University last season.
“A great hire indeed,” Meyer said. “He’s a great guy who really cares about the team and is committed to seeing these young men succeed. He’s super knowledgeable and experienced and he brings a great passion to the field. We are lucky to have him on our new staff.”
In November, at the age of 75, Miller indicated he was resigning from Tustin but was looking at possibly returning to coaching. He was Tustin’s head coach the past three years and also coached the Tillers from 1995 to 2012. (Please click here for Miller’s announcement he was leaving Tustin)
