EL DORADO 49, CRESCENTA VALLEY 44 (OT): The Golden Hawks captured a CIF 2A second round victory at home Tuesday night. Cooper Bladow had 15 points and Jacob Kang 14 points to lead El Dorado (21-9). The Golden Hawks host St. Paul Friday night at 7 in the quarterfinals.
FOOTHILL 75, MARINA 58: The Knights captured a 2AA victory Tuesday night at Marina. Cruz Billings had 18 points and five assists, Carlo Billings had 17 points and seven rebounds, Mikey Mazurie had 13 points and four rebounds and Jake Horton 10 points to lead Foothill.
SAN JUAN HILLS 78, AQUINAS 54: The top-seeded Stallions won their second round 2A playoff game Tuesday in front of a big crowd at San Juan Hills. Mark Reichner had 21 points, John McFadden had 17 points and Jake Simon 15 points to San Juan Hills, which hosts Thousand Oaks Friday in the quarterfinals.
ESTANCIA 56, LEADERSHIP MILITARY ACADEMY 47: The Eagles were led by Reef Johnson, who scored 16 points, Lewis Tate IV, who had 15 points, Peter Sanchez, who had 11 points and Jaedon Hose-Shea, who scored nine points. The Eagles advance into the 5AA quarterfinals Friday.
JSERRA 72, ROLLING HILLS PREP 44: The Lions (17-9) knocked off the No. 2 seed Tuesday night in the CIF Division 1 second round game. Robert Diaz scored 16 points, Aidan Fowler 13 points and and Everett Bryson 12 points to lead JSerra.
SANTA ANA 69, VALLEY CHRISTIAN SANTA MARIA 47: The Saints made a long road trip and came home with a win to advance into the quarterfinal round of the 5AA playoffs Friday night at home vs. Villanova Prep.
VILLAGE CHRISTIAN 86, CYPRESS 65: The Centurions were led by Dylan Higa with 18 points and seven rebounds in the 2AA second round game. Jonah Kim had 13 points and Devon Washington 11 points for Cypress.
“We battled as long as we could,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “We were down by four at half and then their size wore us down in the second half. This team played with grit all year long.”
VIEWPOINT 64, TUSTIN 39: The host Tillers fell in the second round of the 3AA playoffs. Eli Nyeazi had 16 points and six rebounds and Julian Flores 12 points for Tustin, which finished 21-9.
