Cypress High outfielder Peter Werth, a key member of the Centurions’ CIF baseball Division 1 championship team, signed a letter of intent with Texass Christian University on Wednesday.

“TCU has been my dream school since the seventh grade,” Werth told OC Sports Zone on Thursday. “Sometimes I think about it and I still can’t believe it is true. Signing to TCU isn’t the easiest thing to do in life but it’s one step closer in my dream.
“They are great competitive team who is usually always in the race for the college world series. Who could say no to that? God has blessed me with this opportunity and I have to capitalize on what he has given me.”
