“We were up by seven (points) at half but our lack of depth hurt us in the last stretch,” said Crean Lutheran Coach Kelsi Walker.
The Saints star guard Taylor Feldman fouled out at the beginning of the fourth quarter and Allison Reed fouled out shortly after that, according to Walker.
“Daelyn Mooney was out sick with the flu so it was up to our last five to finish out the game with both Emily Reed and Hailee Daniels with four fouls each,” Walker said.
“Mission Vista took advantage, drove hard to the bucket and got their first lead of the game with three minutes remaining.”
Crean Lutheran (25-7) was led by Allison Reed, who scored 11 points. Mission Vista (22-2) moves on to the next round Thursday.
