Costa Mesa Pony Baseball will host the Pony 14-and-under regional tournament beginning Tuesday at Tewinkle Athletic Park in Costa Mesa, according to Jack Morales, league president.
Mark Hatfield is vice president of Costa Mesa Pony. Tewinkle Park is located at 970 Arlington Dr., Costa Mesa.
Teams in the tournament are Dana Point, Heartwell, Irvine, Long Beach, Costa Mesa, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Redondo Sunset, Placentia and Tustin.
The tournament opens Tuesday with two games, Dana Point vs. Heartwell at 4:30 p.m. and Los Alamitos vs. Cypress at 6:45 p.m.
On Wednesday, Irvine meets Long Beach at 4:30 p.m. and Placentia faces Tustin at 6:45 p.m.
Costa Mesa will have its first game Friday at 4:30 p.m. vs the winner of the Dana Point vs. Heartwell game.
The tournament continues Friday and Saturday and wraps up Sunday with the championship at 3:45 p.m. A second game would be held if necesssary 30 minutes after the first game if necessary.
