Wigod noted that there will not be a CIF Master’s Meet this year, coming after the announcement that there will not be a state meet this year.
Wigod added that CIF officials have secured 17 of the 18 golf courses necesary to conduct the boys and girls individual and team golf championships and that information will be released later.
In addition, Wigod provided an update on boys and girls individual tennis.
“We have secured Seal Beach Tennis Center for the girls individual tournament round of 16 and quarterfinals on Wednesday June 9, and semifinals and finals on Thursday, June 10, with the boys round of 16 and quarterfinals on Wednesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 17,” he said.
“All of those dates have been approved by the Orange County Public Health Department, so they are ready to go. We are still trying to secure sites and gain approvals for our Individual sectionals for girls and boys and will continue to do so, with the hope that we will be able to obtain the necessary approvals soon. Once we do, an official announcement will be forthcoming.”
