The CIF playoff groupings for the 2021-22 boys high school water polo playoffs were announced earlier this week by CIF officials.
The season is scheduled to start on Aug. 23.
This year, CIF will have a new open division. The division will consist of the top eight teams from any division and be selected by a committee, officials said.
Weekly top 10 rankings voted upon by coaches in each division will continue to be released by the CIF, according to Thom Simmons, assistant CIF commissioner.
