Capistrano Valley Christian and San Juan Hills earned top seeds in their divisions in the CIF Boys Basketball Championships that start this week.
CIF officials said there are 294 entries competing in 10 playoff divisions. The playoffs begin with wild card games Wednesday in some divisions and first round games on Friday.
All the divisional finals will be held on Friday, Feb. 25 at designated home sites.
San Joaquin League runner-up Capo Valley Christian tops the 2AA division, Crestview League champion Canyon is second and Crestivew League runner-up Foothill is fourth.
Sea View League champion San Juan Hills is first in the 2A bracket. Surf League champion Edison is second in and South Coast League champion Tesoro third in 2A.
In the open division, Empire League champion Crean Lutheran is seeded fourth and in the 3A division, Dana Hills is seeded third.
Sunny Hills is third in the 4AA division and Santa Ana is fourth in the 5AA division.
La Quinta is second in the 5A division.
