Cypress 75, Knight 50: The Centurions played great team defense and moved the ball on offense,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. Ryan Gov hit three-pointers and had 25 points, Kingston Birdsong had six 3-pointers and Michael Wright and Jonah Kim each had 10 points. Cypress hosts Marina on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

“I thought we played well. They guys were locked in defensively and kept up the pressure which led to a lot of transition opportunities.  It was a long drive out to Palmdale, so we are really excited to host a quarterfinal game.”

San Clemente 65, Calvary Chapel 51: Porter Hansen scored 23 points to lead top-seeded San Clemente. Christian Fernandez added 12 points for the Tritons.

Northwood 64, Huntington Beach 44: Northwood (23-7) led from early on and never looked back winning at Huntington Beach. Zaid Yunis and Sidd Raj combined for 32 first half points to stake the Timberwolves to a 39-23 halftime lead. Yunis finished with 24 points, four threes and six rebounds while Raj added 15 points, three three-pointers and a pair of blocks. Ryan Abaye contributed 11 points, three assists, three steals and three rebounds.

Kai Labistre led the Oilers (16-14) with 12 points while freshman Jamil House added eight points off the bench.

Northwood moves on to host Don Bosco Tech Tuesday in the quarterfinals.

Hillcrest Christian 50, Irvine 40: Hillcrest Christian rallied from a two-point halftime deficit to notch the win on the road over the third-seeded Vaqueros. Cooper Stearns had 15 points and Taewon Kim 11 points to lead the Vaqueros (16-14).
