A celebration of life for former Corona del Mar High School baseball coach John Emme will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. at the baseball field at CdM, according to Sea Kings Coach Kevin McCaffrey.
Emme, 57, died after a biking accident Monday, Sept. 13, according to CdM offcials. Emme led CdM to two CIF titles and coached from 1997 to 2018.
Those attending are advised to park in the CdM Middle School parking lot along Mar Vista Drive or the main CdM high school pool lot along East Bluff Drive.
Aloha attire is recommended.
There has also been a John Emme Memorial and Scholarship Fund set up. Those who wish to contribute should go to www.gofundme.com to honor the former coach.
