Corona del Mar’s baseball team completed a two-game series sweep of Capistrano Valley Christian with a 10-8 non-league victory Friday at San Juan Hills Sports Park.
Senior left-hander Stevie Jones (2-2) earned the win, his 22nd of his career, which broke the school’s career win mark. Jones allowed four hits, two runs (one earned) and struck out 12 in six innings, according to CdM Coach Kevin McCaffrey.
Brady Zenz was 3 for 4 with two singles and a double, two RBI and two runs scored, Will Chavez was 1 for 3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored and Jones was 1 for 2 with a triple and two runs scored.
