PORTOLA 67, TRABUCO HILLS 59 (2 OTS): Ryan Chu scored 18 points, Colin Huang had 15 points and Devin Daniels 14 points to lead Portola (4-2) in the opening round of the Mariko Memorial Classic. Trabuco Hills (3-3) was led by Caden Wright with 14 points and Alex Gammo with 11 points.
The tournament continues Tuesday and runs through Saturday.
BECKMAN 83, MISSION 75: The Patriots won their opener at the Diablo Inferno. Dowon Kim made a basket at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. He led Beckman with 26 points. Kai Garcia had 22 points and hit some big shots in overtime to seal the win. Beckman (4-3) meets Fountain Valley Wednesday at 6 p.m.
NORTHWOOD 76, LOARA 34: The Timberwolves (6-0) won the opening game at the Loara Tournament. Justin Gee scored 24 points, Danill Shaplov scored 10 points and Ryan Abaye eight points.
SERVITE 81, COSTA MESA 42: Tyler Small scored 28 points and Miles Song 19 points to lead the Friars in the opening round of the Loara Tournament.
