Beckman and Orange football teams have lined up new opponents for games on this week after their opponents had to cancel due to injuries.
Beckman will have a second consecutive game Friday with Portola at Portola, according to Beckman Coach Marcello Giuliano. University High had to cancel its league opening match-up with the Patriots after suffering more injuries in a game against Northwood. Luezinger is 0-1.
Orange will face Long Beach Millikan Thursday at Fred Kelly Stadium, according to Orange Athletic Director Alicia Seevers. Costa Mesa, the Panthers scheduled Orange Coast League opponent, had to cancel its game because of injuries, Seevers said.
Millikan is 2-1 so far in the spring season.
Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. kick-offs.
