Newport Harbor junior Jack Berry was named the MVP of the Euclid Extravaganza after leading the Sailors to the tournament title with a 76-55 victory over Sunny Hills Saturday at Garden Grove.
Garden Grove Coach Andrew Scimeca praised the efforts of the all-tournament players and all the teams in the 16-team tournament at Loara and Garden Grove. He added the late Ed Prange, coach at Loara, would have been proud of their efforts. Prange died suddenly on Thanksgiving Day.
