A look at Orange County high school football standouts for week three, based on OC Sports Zone’s coverage, submissions from coaches and reports on X. Coaches may still submit names and top efforts until noon Wednesday, Sept. 18 by email to timburt@ocsportszone.com to be included.

Cullen Doyle, Brea Olinda: The Wildcat quarterback completed 19 of 26 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns in a 22-21 victory over Jurupa Hills. Brea Olinda (4-0) plays at Fullerton (0-3) Friday night.

Addison Altermatt, Brea Olinda: Altermatt had four receptions for 49 yards and the game-winning touchdown catch for the Wildcats.

Shane Cassidy, Marina: The 6-5, 200-pound senior had 167 receiving yards on offense and five tackles and an interception on defense in the Vikings 31-7 victory over Pacifica. Marina (4-0) hosts Esperanza (3–1) Friday at Westminster.

Henry Vega, Godinez: The Grizzlies running back had 152 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns in Godinez 31-0 win over Santa Ana Valley. Godinez (2-2) plays Rancho Alamitos (3-0) Friday at Bolsa Grande.

Joseph Harper, Northwood: The senior scored two touchdowns to lead the Timberwolves to a 14-7 victory over Woodbridge. Northwood (4-0) plays at Portola Friday night.

Campbell Schamel, Tesoro: The Titans senior wide receiver had six catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans 31-28 loss to La Serna. Tesoro (2-2) hosts Cypress (2-2) Friday night.

Israel Bonilla, Godinez: The nose guard was voted Grizzly of the week by his teammates, said Coach Aron Kaye. He had three tackles and one assist.

Noah Czaykowski, Beckman: He had one touchdown catch and two interceptions in Beckman’s 20-7 win over Portola. Beckman (4-0) hosts Woodbridge (1-3) Thursday night at Tustin High School.

Travis Frazier, Esperanza: The Aztecs junior quarterback completed 25 of 32 passes for 375 yards and three touchdown passes and also rushed for 20 yards in a 40-34 loss to Dana Hills.

Edward Khutsishivili, Esperanza: The senior receiver hauled in seven catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to Dana Hills.

Nate Richie, Capo Valley Christian: The senior quarterback completed 21 of 37 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles 39-38 overtime win over Calvary Chapel Friday night. Capo Valley Christian (3-1) plays at St. Margaret’s Friday night.

Matthew Peters, Calvary Chapel: Peters accounted for five touchdowns in the loss to Capo Valley Christian: one on a kick return and one on a punt return. Peters threw three touchdown passes and had more than 140 yards rushing.

Brandon “Figgy” Figueroa: Figueroa had 140 yards rushing in the loss to Trabuco Hills and averaged 8.2 yards a carry. On the season he has 413 yards rushing on 60 carries, an averaged of 6.9 yards a carry and four touchdowns.

Cruz McMullens, University: McMullens had four catches for 55 yards including a TD to help the Trojans defeat Estancia 13-6.

XZavior Guess, El Modena: The Vanguards quarterback completed 14 of 22 passes for 271 yards and four TD passes to lead El Modena to a 49-24 victory over Segerstrom. Guess also had nine carries for 96 yards for the Vanguards (4-0).

Brodie Hitchens, El Modena: Hitchens had eight carries for 79 yards and one rushing TD. He also had three catches for 57 yards and one receiving TD and seven tackles on defense.

Timmy Herrr, San Juan Hills: The Stallions quarterback completed completed 17 passes for 141 yards a touchdown in the Stallions 23-9 victory over Crean Lutheran Friday night.

Tank Britton, Bolsa Grande: The Matadors quarterback completed 21 of 30 passes for a career high 221 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-13 victory over Century.

Mikey Haley, Bolsa Grande: The running back had touchdown runs of 45, 1 and 8 yards and hauled in a 15-yard TD pass in the final seconds of the game and had five catches for 92 yards.
