Some members of the Cypress baseball team, including Peter Werth, who had the game-winning double in the semifinals, were on hand to cheer on the Centurions for the afternoon game.
Later, those players boarded a bus for the game at Dodger Stadium, where Cypress defeated Harvard Westlake 2-0 for its third CIF title and first Division 1 crown.
So residents of Cypress had plenty to celebrate Saturday night.
