The Saints (12-2, 9-0) have one more league game left, Thursday at home against Kennedy, before focusing on the CIF 2A playoffs next week. Crean Lutheran is seeded first in this week’s CIF Division 2A poll.
“We got one more in league, Kennedy, then after that, we have a team that has some good length and hopefully we can keep playing hard and bringing an effort every single game and just cause some havoc,” said Crean Lutheran Coach Nate Klitzing. “It’s not easy, but we’re going to give it a go and hopefully we can rise up to the challenge.”
Coach Derek Mitchell’s Cypress team is also off to the CIF playoffs as the second place team from the Empire League. The Centurions (9-5, 9-2) wrap up Empire League play Thursday at Tustin.
