PORTOLA 77, NORTHWOOD 56: The Bulldogs (6-5 overall) improved their Pacific Coast League record to 4-3. Josh Steinberg scored 22 points, Devin Daniel had 11 points and Colin Huang 10 points to lead Portola.
CREAN LUTHERAN 56, KENNEDY 26: The Empire League leading Saints (7-1, 5-0) were led by Mike Birket, who scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. Alex Davis had 12 points and Jack Fairchild eight points and four assists for Crean Lutheran, ranked No. 2 in this week’s CIF Division 2A poll.
CYPRESS 59, TUSTIN 40: The Centurions improved their Empire League record to 4-1.
“We played with good pace tonight. That’s something we wanted to focus on after our last game,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell.
Alex Guttierrez scored 15 points and made all three 3-point attempts. Christian Chai scored 12 points and Kody Papke nine points to lead Cypress.
Ryan Stading scored 10 points and Pablo Magallanes nine points to lead Tustin (2-3).
FOOTHILL 61, YORBA LINDA: The Knights improved their record to 14-3 overall with the win. Cruz Billings scored 15 points, Mikey Mazuire 14 points and Jacob Horton 10 points to lead Foothill. Braedyn Benhard had six points and nine rebounds for the Knights (2-1 in league). Jason Casacchia scored 13 points to lead Yorba Linda (4-8).
OCEAN VIEW 60, SEGERSTROM 39: The Seahawks (5-0 in Golden West League) were led by Slater Miller, who scored 20 points. Ramon Lopez had 19 points and Luke Washington 15 points.
BECKMAN 65, FAIRMONT SJC 56: The Patriots (8-4) were led in the non-league game by Dowon Kim, who scored 22 points and Jake Morrison and Ethan Bozzo, who scored 15 points each.
LAGUNA HILLS 67, UNIVERSITY 56: The Hawks were led by David Moon, who scored 27 points in the Pacific Coast League game.
