Northwood High sophomore Brandon Luu has committed to Arizona State University to play college baseball.
Stuart offered his congratulations to Luu, who still has three more years of high school competition ahead of him.
“Brandon becomes the first Timberwolf to receive and accept a scholarship offer from ASU,” said Coach Rob Stuart.
“The first time I saw Brandon throw a baseball I knew he was a special player. After that it just kept getting better. Not only is he a physically gifted player, he has a great feel for the game, an understanding and an approach of a much older and mature player. In an abbreviated 2019-20 season, he helped us in so many ways. He made a major impact in every game he played on both offense and defense.
“Brandon is a very dedicated and hard working young man. It is no surprise that a baseball powerhouse like ASU recognized and made such an early offer to bring him into their program. I can’t wait to watch him grow on and off the field here at NHS, Arizona State and beyond.”
Luu also plays first base for Northwood.
