Woodbridge High pitcher Jack Bunnell has made a commitment to play college baseball at University of Washington, Warrior coach Ryan Brucker confirmed Saturday.
Bunnell, a senior, has one more season with the Warriors this spring.
“I chose UW because I felt like it was a great fit,” Bunnell said through Woodbridge baseball. “The campus and location is beautiful. The academics line up to what I want in a university as well as the coaches and how they run their programs. It was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”
Brucker added:
“Jack is one of the most hard working and competitive young men I’ve had the pleasure to coach. This opportunity is the culmination of a lot of time and dedication on his part both on and off the baseball field, as well as in the classroom. He is very deserving. The Huskies are getting an outstanding student-athlete and an even better young man.”
Bunnell has had a number of great performances in his career and pitched a no-hitter in February 2019.
