All games in the Ryan Lemmon Baseball Tournament being played at Great Park

The annual Ryan Lemmon Baseball Tournament begins on Saturday, March 30 at all the games will be the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, according to Dick Owens, tournament director.

The tournament, sponsored by the Ryan Lemmon Foundation, runs through Wednesday, April 3.

The Great Park facility includes the main stadium and four other fields which will be utilized for the 24-team tournament.

“This is going to be a great tournament with top teams like Capo Valley, Centennial, Dana Hills, ML King and Valencia/ Valencia,” Owens said.

In the past years, games have been held at Windrow Park and the Ryan Lemmon Stadium in Irvine.

There will be an admission charge of $8 per day or $25 for a tournament pass, Owens said.

Teams in the tournament are Canyon, Capistrano Valley, Capo Valley Christian, Centennial (Corona), Dana Hills, El Modena, Fountain Valley, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Los Alamitos, Marina, ML King, Newport Harbor, Pacifica, Pomona, San Juan Hills, Segerstrom, Trabuco Hills, University, Valencia/Valencia, Valencia/Placenita, Woodbridge and Yorba Linda.

Opening day schedule (Saturday, March 30)

At Great Park Stadium: CdM vs. Dana Hills, 9 a.m.; Yorba Linda vs. Los Alamitos, noon.; ML King vs. Capo Valley Christian, 3 p.m.; Trabuco Hills vs. Fountain Valley, 6 p.m.’

At Great Park Field 5: University vs. El Modena, 11:30 a.m.; Laguna Beach vs. Capistrano Valley, 2:30 p.m.; Canyon vs. Woodbridge, 5:30 p.m.

At Great Park Field 6: Newport Harbor vs. Valencia, 11 a.m.; Marina vs. Pacifica, 2 p.m.; Centennial vs. Irvine, 5 p.m.

At Great Park 7: Valencia/Valencia vs. San Juan Hills, 2:45 p.m.; Pomona vs. Segerstrom, 5:45 p.m.

Second round (Monday, April 1)

The tournament wraps up with the championship games on Wednesday, April 3 at 6 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. The Wednesday schedule will be announced later.
