PHOTOS: Top-seeded Crean Lutheran moves on to semifinals of CIF beach volleyball

Crean Lutheran High School’s girls beach volleyball team, top seeded in Division 2, has moved on to Saturday’s semifinals of the CIF tournament at Long Beach City College.

The Saints, the defending CIF champions, defeated Long Beach Millikan 5-0 on Wednesday in the quarterfinal round and will face Capistrano Valley in the semifinals Saturday. The winner meets the winner of the other semifinal between Long Beach Wilson and Oaks Christian later on Saturday in the finals.

Crean Lutheran opened the tournament with victories over Sage Hill (5-0) and Warren (3-2).

In the Division 1 tournament, Huntington Beach meets Mira Costa in one semifinal with the winner facing the winner of the other semifinal between JSerra and Redondo in the final.
