Beach Bash Tourney starts tonight at CdM; Wednesday’s Mater Dei vs. Segerstrom game among match-ups

The annual 14-team Beach Bash Boys Basketball Tournament starts today, Monday Dec. 3 at Corona del Mar and includes the county’s top ranked team Mater Dei, which is off to a 3-1 start.

In today’s games, Los Alamitos faces Sage Hill at 3:30 p.m., Edison meets Westminster at 5 p.m., Crean Lutheran faces Compton at 6:30 p.m. and Crean Lutheran challenges CdM at 8 p.m.

Mater Dei opens the tournament Tuesday at 5 p.m. against Compton (3-3).

Schedule for Tuesday, Dec. 4:

Crean Lutheran vs. Roosevelt, 3:30 p.m.

Mater Dei vs. Compton, 5 p.m.

Trabuco Hills vs. Fort Collins, 6:30 p.m.

Pacifica Christian vs. Eaglecrest, 8 p.m.

There are also three games on Wednesday, including the Mater Dei vs. Segerstrom game at 5:30 p.m. Segerstrom, which is in Mater Dei’s pool, is off to a 2-6 start.

The tournament continues with pool play Thursday and Fridays with the finals on Saturday night at CdM.
