Yorba Linda-CVC and Villa Park-Newport Harbor meet in tonight’s Godinez Grizzly Invitational semifinals

The semifinal schedule is set for the Grizzly boys basketball Invitational tonight, Nov. 30, at Godinez, Irvine and Loara.

The championship semifinals in the gold division will be held at Godinez.

Yorba Linda will face Capo Valley Christian at 6:15 p.m. and Newport Harbor will face Villa Park, ranked fifth in the county by the Orange County Register at 7:45 p.m. Villa Park is 8-0 and Newport Harbor 4-0.

The winners meet Saturday, Dec. 1, in the championship game at Godinez at 7:45 p.m.

The 24 teams are in different brackets, based on pool play.

Gold division: Championship semifinals at Godinez: Yorba Linda vs. Capo Valley Christian, 6:15 p.m.; Newport Harbor vs. Villa Park, 7:45 p.m.; consolation semifinals at Irvine: Edison vs. Northwood, 6:15 p.m.; El Dorado vs. El Toro, 7:45 p.m.

Silver division: Championship semifinals at Loara: Dana Hills vs. San Clemente, 6:15 p.m.; Aliso Niguel vs. Costa Mesa, 7:45 p.m.; Consolation semifinals at Irvine: Capistrano Valley vs. Laguna Beach, 3:15 p.m.; Long Beach Wilson vs., Fullerton, 4:45 p.m. at Loara.

Bronze division: Championship semifinals at Godinez: Godinez vs. Foothill, 3:15 p.m.; At Loara, Loara vs. Huntington Beach, 3:15 p.m.; Consolation semifinals at Godinez: Calvary Chapel vs. Savanna, 4:45 p.m.; at Irvine Segerstrom vs. Irvine, 4:45 p.m.
