Crean Lutheran High School’s football team will play its first home game of the season Friday night vs. Laguna Beach in its on-campus stadium, Coach Rick Curtis said Thursday.
Bleachers have been added to accomodate fans for the 7 p.m. game.
A large crowd is expected for Crean Lutheran’s homecoming game and fans are advised to arrive by 6:30 p.m.
Crean Lutheran, 3-0 overall, had a bye last week. Laguna Beach comes into the game with a 2-2 record.
“Saints nation is so excited to have our first official home football game here on Friday night vs. Laguna Beach High School,” Curtis said. “The game is also Crean Lutheran’s homecoming game.
“To be able to host home games on our campus is so special for our players, coaches, students, parents, administration, and our entire Crean Lutheran community.
“Our dream has become a reality ad we have been blessed with a generous donation from Allied Universal Services and through the hard work of our President, Mr. Jeffrey Beavers, the administration, and our entire staff here at Crean Lutheran High School.”
Curtis also credited Athletic Director Eric Olson for being instrumental in the process.
Crean Lutheran played on campus during the abbreviated spring season in March 2021. It has had home games at Portola High School, Irvine Stadium and University High School in the past.
