ORANGE LUTHERAN 8, JSERRA 2: The Lancers (26-2, 13-0) won the first game of a three-game Trinity League series against JSerra Monday night at JSerra. Orange Lutheran won its 17th game in row. Gabe Miranda had a two-run home run and Louis Rodriguez pitched a complete game striking out 10. JSerra fell to 22-6 overall and 12-1 in the Trinity League.
Both teams are ranked in the top 10 of this week’s CIF Division 1 poll.
PACIFICA 8, CREAN LUTHERAN 3: The Mariners improved their reccord to 7-2 in league play. Andrew Stanley threw a complete game, allowing three earned runs and striking out four.
Kanon Cousins was 1 for with a double, three runs scored and an RBI, Chad Gurnea was 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI, Nick Zanaboni was 1 for 1 with two RBI and a run scored and Chad Brown was 1 for 3 with two RBI and a run scored to lead Pacifica (14-11 overall) Crean Lutheran is 20-9 overall and 8-3 in the Empire League.
OCEAN VIEW 5, ARLINGTON 4: The Seahawks (19-6) won the non-league game behind the pitching of Rizzy Collado. Ocean View has won 12 games in a row.
Thomas Williams continued his torrid hitting, going 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored. He is now 11 for 11 in his last three games, a school record, according to Coach Tanner Van Maanen.
