The University High school football team scored four first-quarter touchdowns and rolled to a 44-0 home non-league victory over Savanna Thursday night.
Trojan quarterback Koa Saito completed 11 of 18 passes for 218 yards and four touchdowns, two to Blaine Anderson, a 34-yarder to Luke Edwards and a 57-yard bomb to Jonathan Soto.
University (3-2) won its third straight game for the first time since 2017.
The potent passing attack was complemented by big plays on defense and special teams. The defense had 17 plays for loss (including a safety), led by Richard Bines with four. Eithar Takesh had three and a blocked punt return for a score.
Anderson also had a 46-yard pick six and another one called back, forced a fumble, downed a punt on the one yard-line and had 175 all-purpose yards.
