Savanna and Santa Ana Valley football teams opened their spring seasons Friday night with an Orange League game at Glover Stadium.
Both teams battled for the win but Savanna came away with a 21-13 victory. Quarterback Ivan Hernandez and running back Brian Uriostegui were named the Rebels players of the game.
The game was the first for new Santa Ana Valley Coach Alfredo Macias.
