Mater Dei No. 1, JSerra, Mission Viejo and Servite also earn top 10 CIF rankings

Mater Dei is ranked first in Division 1-2 in the CIF pre-season football poll released Monday.

The Monarchs, the defending CIF and state champions, host Centennial of Corona, which is ranked third, Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Ana Stadium.

Also in Division 1-2, JSerra is fifth and Mission Viejo sixth while Servite is 10th.

Villa Park is ranked first in Division 4 and Corona del Mar second to CIF champion Grace Brethren in Division 3. Beckman is ranked second in Division 14. Western, the defending CIF Division 11 champion, is ranked second in Division 10.
